Check out research by Inclusion Psychologists

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I have posted and I hope you are all well and in the warm up lane for 2022!. It's so important to pace ourself this year with so much going on that's impacting on our physical and mental health.

We have been very busy here at Inclusion Psychologists Ltd. As you know I am passionate about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and believe in the importance of research in supporting developments in this area.

See below a post by Aishling Dempsey, Honorary Psychology Assistant (but in truth much more than that- watch this space as she will go far indeed) on two chapters Inclusion Psychologists Ltd have coming out in a book to be published in July 2022.

Check it out! We are really excited to contribute to this exciting publication by Eleni Meletiadou, PhD, MSc, MA, MEd, Assoc CIPD, CMBE.

As for my book "Understanding and Dealing with Everyday Racism-The Six Stages Framework"... honestly, I don't know what to say anymore!!!🥲

My publisher has been unwell but we are now back on track and I am proof reading. Fingers crossed it will finally come out. But don't ask me when!!

In the meantime here are some comments from Aishling Dempsey who has had a sneak preview in her role as Honorary Psychology Assistant.

Hopefully you will all get to read it very soon!

"I have just finished reading through your book and I am truly blown away. It was refreshing, thoughtful and inspiring. Reading in detail the conceptualisation of the framework and its positioning in everyday life as a tool was very interesting. The chapters were very well positioned, creating good flow and frequently intersected with why the framework is useful and needed. I think it is a wonderful, action-based positive tool that will speak to many people and provide the language many people feel that they don't have to speak about their own biases and racism."

Excited to share the details of my first publication! Myself, Amber Johnson and Shakara Watson have been working with Dr Shungu Hilda M'gadzah at Inclusion Psychologists Limited on chapters 10 & 18 of the 'Handbook of Research on Practices for Advancing Diversity and Inclusion in Higher Education' which will be published in the upcoming months. It has been a wonderful experience putting together this chapter with guidance from Dr. Shungu in exploring her Six Stages Framework, anti-racism and the experiences of racism in UK universities.
